Little Baby Gray Update
Lets see.... Our sonogram on December 23rd was AMAZING. I got to see our new "little person" for the first time! Byron was unable to make it as he was finishing all his exit interviews for his new County Extension Agent Job.
The Doctor said everything looked GREAT and we are dead on with the due date of July 27th. (I told her I never doubted this due date b/c I knew from the exact MOMENT it happened that I was pregnant! HA! She just laughed.)
My January appointment went VERY well, or at least I think so. I didn't gain a single pound! (I'm patting myself on the back again...) I'm sure I'll blow the scales up before this is over, but for now I'm enjoying it.
I have entered into the second trimester with ZERO morning sickness. THANK GOODNESS! I don't believe that pregnant women get these crazy pregnancy craving you always hear about. I believe that ANY person, no matter what state they are in has cravings for specific things on occasion. So my "occasional" cravings have been VERY health ones here lately. Here are some things I find myself wanting to eat most often:
Cereal: mostly Total or Honey Nut Cheerios
Salad: with NO dressing.... just kosher salt and cracked pepper
Carrots
Apple sauce
I haven't really wanted anything sweet per say, but I did make a REALLY good Reece's Peanut-butter cup pie last week. (Delish!)
I'm really hoping these occasional cravings last... but I'm sure they won't.
My next checkup is February 9th. It is just a regular checkup. My March appointment will be when we have the "big" sonogram done. I'm not totally convinced that I want to know the sex of the baby.... I'm sure my husband will HAVE to know though. If I was a betting kind of person (thankfully I'm not) I'd put money on it being a girl. That is just my intuition, I don't know for sure. Baylee keeps saying she wants a "Sista." Byron tries to get her to say "brother" but she consistently says "sista." (maybe the little stinker knows something we don't????)
Washing the baby....
First, we have to hang the frog so that we can put all of Sally's toys in it before the bath.
Now, it is time to ever so gently place Sally in the tub (which by the way does NOT have water in it!) Notice the stylist has carefully chosen her clothing for this occasion. She is sporting a layer of TAMU sweats under a layer of bright blue summer shorts, a smock dress of red and white stripes (this will protect her sweats from the bath water) and of course her mud boots. Fitting attire for the occasion I'm sure. Notice how gently she places Sally into the tub by her hair.....
This would be the hip problems I was talking about earlier. I'm not sure why the stylist chose to bathe the baby in her dress, but she said that is how she does it.
Shortly after this picture was taken the Stylist flipped head first into the bathtub.... boots went flying and there were a few moments of hysterical laughter from Mom and Gigi. It all happened in slow motion and we didn't have time to move let alone help her. She popped right up like nothing happened or like she really meant to do that. HILARIOUS, but ya had to be there.
Hoping she doesn't try to give the new baby a bath,
