So NOT my Baby.....

That's right.... she is so NOT my baby anymore....

I went to College Station this weekend for my annual or should I say semi-annual Round Top Trades Day trip with the girls.... When I got home yesterday Byron and Baylee weren't there. So I unloaded the car and started putting stuff up thinking they would show up any minute.... but they didn't.... So, I called Byron on his cell phone.

When he answered I asked how they were and what they were doing. He said they were just fine and they were out at the King place checking yearlings and shooting the .22 into the tank.... My first thought was: "he said WE are shooting the .22" that means my baby is shooting a gun!

The next thing I heard was Baylee in the background saying "WATCH THIS MOMMA!" Byron put the phone on speaker and set it down then proceeded to coach my 2.85 year old on how to hold the gun and then BOOM! She shot into the tank. After that she got on the phone and said: DID YOU SEE THAT MOMMA? I shot my .22!!!!!"

Of course this was a Daddy moment so there are no pictures....

I didn't know weather to cry tears of joy or tears of terror! I keep telling myself that bonding time with Dad is a good thing, but I wasn't prepared for her to turn into a tom-boy just yet! It did make me feel better when she got home though... she had on her boots, jeans and a PINK & PURPLE shirt!

Not sure I'm ready for all this "growing up" business,

Nesting

I've already cleaned out and re-organized the storage building where we have all the "baby" stuff. I realized I had 5 HUGE totes full of clothes from Miss Priss, and those only go through the 12 month size! I have them all lined up at the front of the storage building waiting for me to go get them one by one and wash everything up and put it away!

I think the combination of my nestingness (is that even a word?) and this WONDERFUL weather has got me feeling all crafty. I have this really bad feeling of urgency (why I have no idea..) to get all of Baylee's scrapbooks done before this new little angel blesses us with her presence.

I thought they turned out pretty darn cute, so I decided to share some pages with you guys!

Here are a few pages from our Family Album:

Cheers to Nestingness and Craftiness,

Pregnancy Related or Normal???

These are a few things I've done here lately that have made me wonder about myself and have gained weird looks from my husband... I just want someone else's opinion as to weather this is normal or if it might be pregnancy related.... You be the judge.

-TWICE in the last two weeks I have filled out deposit slips for the insurance agency, except I put our personal account number on the deposit slip. I didn't realize this until I looked online several days later..... yea, my accountant is going to rip me a new one next year!

-The other night we were going to make Hamburger patties with gravy and mashed potatoes. I got all the ingredients out and started cooking. Later Byron came in to help and I walked to the pantry and asked if we use cream of mushroom for SOS or gravy. He looked at me strange and said: I thought we were having HB patties with gravy.... why did you brown the meat taco style? At that moment I realized I had forgotten what I was COOKING!

-I put some butter on some toast and wanted to melt it so I just popped the plate in the microwave.... no big deal, right? WRONG.... the plate was metal.......

Am I loosing it?

P.S. I haven't forgotten my kid at daycare..... yet.

Texas Weather...

Oh, Texas weather.... are you really going to give us 70 degree weather for a few days and then drop into Arctic conditions this weekend? Really? High 73 on Friday and then a High of 46 on Saturday?
Is it me or is this a little frustrating?
UGH,

Since no one is really playing along with my game (which I'm VERY disappointed about) I guess I'll just spell it out for everyone!

IT's A GIRL!!!!!!

Here are a few more sono pictures.

This is a picture of her adorible little head and part of her body. (profile view)

This is a picture of her bottom and legs showing proof she is a girl...

(no, Aunt Kim.... she is not a duck!)

This on is my all time FAVORITE! She is saying: "Gig 'Em Aggies!"
(really, I think she is sucking her thumb but I can dream can't I?)

Josephus and Tychicus

First off: I want to clarify on how to pronounce the above mentioned names....

Josephus (Joe-SEE-fuss)
Tychicus (Ty-chuck-us)

I'm not too sure if any of you have ever heard this little rhyme or not, but my daughter almost won't go to sleep at night until I tell her this story. I can thank her Pop for this, he is always coming up with random things.... this one seemed to stick. Baylee says their names SO cute! It is adorible!

Here we go:

Josephus & Tychicus

There was an old man who had two sons
And these two sons were brothers.
Josephus was the elder one,
Tychicus was the other.

Now these two boys they had an old horse
And this old horse was blind.
Josephus always rode in front,
Tychicus rode behind.

Now these two boys to school they went
And sat upon a stool.
Josephus learned his lessons well,
Tychicus was a fool.

Now these two boys a-fishing went
And sat upon a log.
Josephus caught a big catfish,
Tychicus cought a frog.

Now these two boys when came to die
They had a story to tell.
Josephus went to Betterland, well
Tychicus went to Hell.

Baylee just LAUGHES and LAUGHES when we get to the part about Josephus catching a big catfish and Tychicus catching a frog! I'm going to try and get her on video saying this.... it is the most adorible thing! Those are pretty big words for a 2.75 year old!

Morals of the story.... Pop has some funny stuff locked away in that little vault of his, and Miss Priss has a very good vocabulary going. (I'm praying this doesn't backfire on us!)

Hoping Byron doesn't want to name any of our kids by these names,

The Verdict is In...........

IT'S A .....

Well, maybe you should tell me!

Laughing hysterically,

Half way there.....

Yep, that's right.... Today marks 20 weeks! I can't believe we are almost half way!

We went for my 20 week checkup yesterday. Here are the stats:

Baby is doing great! Measuring only one day ahead of the due date. Not enough to change anything, we are still holding firm for July 27, 2010.

Momma gained some weight this go around... not much, but I told you guys this was coming!

I'm still feeling great! Especially when I look outside and it is a bright beautiful sunny day with 70 degrees in the forcast! Makes me want to go clean up my winter ridden yard!

This little Baby Gray is VERY active. ALL THE TIME! Baylee was active, but not quite this much, sometimes taking my breath away!

There was a little bit of a concern at the Dr.'s appointment, several things we are checking on. One is the fact that my blood work came back from the last appointment with a lower then my Doc likes platelet count. Platelets are what helps your blood clot. My count was in the 102 range where as a normal range is more like 150. SOOOOOOO.... I had to go give away, what felt like, a gallon of blood. UGH.... If you know me at all, you know me and needles don't G-haw very well. (hence the completely natural birth with my first child because I'm that afraid of needles! HA!) We should know something in the next week or two about my counts.... hopefully they are back up and or don't dip any further.

Also, the placenta is currently covering my cervix.... I'm really not too worried about this one.... it was the same way with Baylee. I'm thinking as I grow, it will move on up.... maybe even as soon as my next appointment! (he he... this means I get another sono next month! I get too see my precious little one again! HA!)

Baylee is more in tune with the fact that Momma has a baby in her belly and that she is going to be the Big Sista. Often she will walk up and pull my shirt up and rub my belly and tell the baby she loves it. She has been known to try this when we are out in public..... imagine my embarassment when she tried to show her Doctor my bare belly! HA! I'm just glad she is excited about the baby and wants everyone to know!

Here is the 20 Week Belly Picture:
