Josephus and Tychicus

First off: I want to clarify on how to pronounce the above mentioned names....

Josephus (Joe-SEE-fuss)
Tychicus (Ty-chuck-us)

I'm not too sure if any of you have ever heard this little rhyme or not, but my daughter almost won't go to sleep at night until I tell her this story. I can thank her Pop for this, he is always coming up with random things.... this one seemed to stick. Baylee says their names SO cute! It is adorible!

Here we go:

Josephus & Tychicus

There was an old man who had two sons
And these two sons were brothers.
Josephus was the elder one,
Tychicus was the other.

Now these two boys they had an old horse
And this old horse was blind.
Josephus always rode in front,
Tychicus rode behind.

Now these two boys to school they went
And sat upon a stool.
Josephus learned his lessons well,
Tychicus was a fool.

Now these two boys a-fishing went
And sat upon a log.
Josephus caught a big catfish,
Tychicus cought a frog.

Now these two boys when came to die
They had a story to tell.
Josephus went to Betterland, well
Tychicus went to Hell.

Baylee just LAUGHES and LAUGHES when we get to the part about Josephus catching a big catfish and Tychicus catching a frog! I'm going to try and get her on video saying this.... it is the most adorible thing! Those are pretty big words for a 2.75 year old!

Morals of the story.... Pop has some funny stuff locked away in that little vault of his, and Miss Priss has a very good vocabulary going. (I'm praying this doesn't backfire on us!)

Hoping Byron doesn't want to name any of our kids by these names,

Cody wanted to name Clancy..."Clancy Trampus Archie". I think there was someone named Trampus in the Ranch Rodeos we used to go to with yall? The only way I got around it was by passing down Cody's middle name ;)

That sounds about like Cody! Before we found out this one was a girl.... Byron came up with the boy name.... Badger. I asked him if that was his way of asking for a divorce! HA!
