For some reason my wonderful hubby likes to keep me on pins and needles when it comes to naming our children. With Baylee it was a HUGE ordeal. I mean, we argued, cried and laughed for MONTHS before we decided on a name. THEN after we decided her name the battle began on how to spell it.
It has been no different this go around. We did agree on several things though. We wanted this little angel's name to be complimentary to Baylee's (check), we wanted an old name (check), we also wanted to use a family name (also check). The problem was, we had THREE names that met all the above criteria. Byron couldn't understand my need to name her now. I mean, I have things to get done. I'm not going to overhaul the nursery decor, but I do have a few things I want to do to make it special for just "her." Most of which involve her name or initial. Not to mention diaper bags and burp cloths to get started on. You know men, they just don't get it...(well, most of the time anyway)
Wednesday night after dinner B and I were sitting at the table eating a very healthy portion of chocolate marble cake and chatting with Byron. I lightly brought up the subject of names and we both asked Baylee what she wanted her little sisters name to be. You guys, when she she said it we both knew it was PERFECT! Byron even gave in and said, Yep, that's her name. There was no arguing this time on how to spell it. Bay-lee set the president for this kiddo! I'd like to present our upcoming addition to the Gray Family.............
SAYDEE LYNN GRAY
I hope you guys are as excited as I am. I feel so much more connected to her now that I can call her by her name! (weird, I know... but I never claimed to be "all-there!) Plus, you should here Big Sister say her name.... ADORABLE! I'm going to try and record it this weekend!
Dr. Appointment Stats for Miss Saydee Gray:
Went to visit the Doc on Monday. Everything is going great! Got the results of my blood work back and my platelets have stayed the same. No more no less. So, we (the Doc &I) feel confident it is just related to this pregnancy.
Placenta is slowly moving up and out of the way of my cervix. (WHEW HOOOO!) I'm more excited about this than anything because it completely gets rid of my fear of having to have a c-section or anything other than a COMPLETELY natural birth. (me and needles don't g-haw very well. They usually win and I usually end up passed out on the floor. I'd rather not play their little twisted game and just go ALL-Nat-u-ral)
Thus far, I've only gained 8 pounds. (I really think I've gained a few since Monday... I just feel bigger.) I was really hoping to have my new "Picky Sticky's" in by today so I could stick one on my shirt when I took this picture, but they aren't here. (btw... thanks Amanda for referring me to that website! Anyone else that is interested should check it out:
