I'm So proud of myself!
Back in September, for some crazy reason, I started running. (yes, sort of like Forrest Gump) It is something I have grown to LOVE! There are several girls here in Throckmorton that over the past few weeks have formed a WONDERFUL little running group. There are about 4 of us that run together regular. Three of us are mom's so we have to wait until we get the little ones in bed before we meet up. Last night the weather here was REALLY cold, I'm talking in the 30's. So I bundled up and headed out to meet Susie. We ended up running a new route that was about 3 miles. I felt SO good after we got back to the track that I ran another 2 miles!!!! Yes, you are reading this right.... I ran 5 miles!!!! My longest run so far has been only 6 and that was back in November. What I'm even more proud of was the fact that I ran that 5 miles in 45 minutes! I know, I know... some of you are laughing that it would take me 45 minutes to do that... but never the less, I'm still proud! I'm hoping to run a half marathon before my next child so if any of you know of some good ones coming up, please let me know.

GREAT job Ashley!!! I can't imagine running 5 miles right now. I never workout in the winter, so the past few weeks I've been running trying to get back into shape. 2 miles is about as far as I can get right now.
Ok, and why am i just now finding your blog? I didn't know you had one! Baylee is sooooooooo CUTE!
Woo hoo Ashley! Sounds a little like cross country season to me. I have run a half marathon the last two years in Dallas called Heels and Hills. It's a womens race and it's the perfect environment for any type of competitor. The proceeds also benefit MS and cancer research (I believe). It happens at the beginning of May. Most training programs only take about 6 weeks so you would definitely be ready considering you've already been running.
Oh my goodness! I'm SO glad you told me about that 1/2! Do you think they have a website? I would LOVE to be ready by May. I was hoping to take a trip to Seattle WA and run in the half there and take little "get away" with the hubby... but I looked at air line prices the other day and pretty much ruled that one out! HA! Oh, well. Are you going to run this year?
Kathy: I'm really not sure why we haven't found eachothers blogs until now! I didn't know you had one until I saw Anne the other day, and well, you know she is the Queen of the blogging world!
I'm glad you running again! I had to take it SLOW and easy at first! I actually slacked off around Christmas time then started back in January.... I vowed NEVER to do that again! It as like starting from scratch!
I'm keeping up with your blog too! I can't believe how big and GROWN up Courtney is! I feel OLD!
