Blast from the past...

This weekend Byron and I decided it was time to clean out our storage building... I know, I know... STUPID idea! Usually when we decide to do something like this together it ends up in a VERY heated debate and we usually get mad at each other and all that wonderful hoopla! Well, this was no different... we had our little tiff right off the bat and luckily it wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be! (thank Heavens for the movie Fireproof! If you are married and haven't seen it... you need too!)
Anyway... I didn't know it was possible for two people to collect so much CRAP in such a relatively short amount of time... well, if you consider 5 years of marriage and four years of dating before that a relatively short amount of time! I came across a tote that I swore to Byron I'd never seen before. (for some reason he didn't' believe me) So I started going thru it and to my surprise it was a BUNCH of stuff that my parents had saved from my childhood.
I found all sorts of great treasures! The whole bottom of the tote was lined with trophies from dance class. "The Meridian School of Dance, and Debra's Studio." I had perfect attendance almost every year! I found report cards from Kindergarden thru 3rd Grade. (I guess at that point I learned to hide them because there aren't any from that point on! HA) I found a miniature umbrella that my Grandfather got me at one of our many family trips to the State Fair of Texas. Baylee had a blast chasing the "tats" with it yesterday! (cats) I also found some of my newborn baby clothes... and let me tell you... baby clothes have come a LONG way since 1982! I also found and apron mom made for our Mother's Day out class that had: Ashley C. on it! Baylee also wore this yesterday while she terrorized the "tats."

It was so nice to take a trip down memory lane. I still have one tote to go thru... and yes, I promise to update you on the findings... I'm thinking it is full of stuff from more recent years... say, High School! (Anne, I can't promise that this won't affect you! LOL!)
