Vacation Bible School snuck up on me... I mean, I know that my child is THREE years old now, but it really hadn't stuck in my head that the THREE year old mark was a significant one. Monday morning Tillie called the house around 8:15 and said she had forgotten to tell me that the church bus would be picking the kids up at 8:45.
I was a little confused as to why the church bus would be picking up the kids, so I asked the million dollar "duh" question... Ummm Tillie, why is the bus coming to get the kids? Tillie then explained to me that MY child was now THREE years old and could partake in this year's VBS. Of course my next reply was, "Oh, yea... I knew that!"
BBBBBHHHHHHAAAA... yea right I knew that. I was almost in tears when I hung up the phone at the thought of my BABY being old enough to go! BUT, I sucked it up and she attended all week.
Wednesday night they did their final program for the parents and lets just say it was interesting...
This is Baylee within the first 5 minutes of us arriving at the church. We were in the back "staging" area. She and I had NO idea was was going to happen next. Still Miss Happy Pants....
Wondering what in the heck was going on and why Momma had to leave her and go up front...
(BTW, this is "the look" I was talking about her father giving me quite often... see: Shippin') The decor
Her walking in with her class... still unsure what is going on...
Then it happened.... She spotted Momma.
This is what transpired next....

How in the world do you refrain from running up there and scooping her up? Aww, sweet girl! I'm such a rookie Mom.
I have to admit... it was hard and what you don't see me motioning to her to come here right at the very end and her running as fast as she could into my arms! I knew it was good for her to be exposed... or at least that is what Tamra was telling me the entire time! HA!
So cute. At least she has a cute sad face. On another subject, I knew she had long hair, but I just got a glimpse of that ponytail...that is a LOT of hair:) BTW, I think your new do is sassy and cute!
